Happy New Year!! Wow the time just flies by. Here is the newest of the altered books. I feel like that's all I do nowadays. For this book I hit the office supply store big time..... I'm only going to share a few of my favorite pages. I'm so over making these kits. I started off with 15 and ended up making 20. There's a total of 24 pages in the book not including the acrylic cover so I'm only going to show my favorite pages.....

You can see her I added some envelopes and put patterned paper, this is good for stuffing lil goodies.

Now if you look to the left side of the page I added a fastener. My suggestion to the lovely ladies who took the class, they can make a great waterfall and get more pics on their project.

Christmas Cards.....

Ok there are still a couple days before Christmas so here are a couple of cards I made for a class I did.

I have been crazy over MFT Stamps lately so that has been my focus on my card classes. For the first card I used dp MME Lost & Found Christmas MFT Dainty Doily oval frame and Inspired by Christmas stamp, and for the second card I used dp by Best Creations and MFT Homespun Birdhouse.

I have been such a bad blogger. But look at it this way, we have sooo much to catch up on. I would love to post every pic of every page, I think I will just go over my favorites. This kit sold out quick so I am pretty sure that everyone who got one already has pics or has finished their project.
This book I made with black chipboard covers and I created the pockets using 12 x 8.5 in black cardstock.

I should have taken a better pic of the BLING on the cover rings. I used a Maya Road trinket (think that it), I backed it with decortive papers, and added a chain, some jewels and misc bells I found at Michaels.

As you can see above I made each of the pages a pocket for more pics. Cant get enough pics at Christmas time.

Don't you just love the charms I used in the book. The two above there are stuffed stockings, and a candy cane, and below there are a set of silver bells. AWESOME!!

Well those were just my favorite pages of the entire book. There were 6 pocket pages in the book, plus the cover and the back page. I love when I start creating a book and then you can see it fatten up with all the goodies that are in it. Ok more to come... wait till you see the Year in Review album I did.

Yes another altered book, I have been working on cards, just not as much. As you can imagine these books are really time consuming. Not including the days I don't feel like being very creative.
Well this project I am going to show all the pages because I know some you bought I a kit and haven't put it together yet. I used Echo Park Times & Seasons for this. I wanted to make a different style than before, this time I chose a flip/flap book...

Here I made a pocket flap, the die I used here and for the cover are Tim Holtz.

For the inside of the back cover I had some scraps from a paper that looked like vintage advertising, so I cut some up and mod podged them on.

So today at work it was such a slow day. It's the day before Veterans Day, and we ordered lunch. And my co-worker paid for it, of course I tried to pay, but she's feisty and won't hear of it. So I decided I would make her a card during the downtime. (Okay so I already knew it wouldn't be busy so I took some supplies with me to work)

Oh my!! Ok I won't break out song, but watch out. Happy Halloween!! I will have to steal a pic from one of my customers they took of me dressed up on Friday night. We had such a great turn out at the store, I wanted to cry. I will post pics later!! For now I am sharing the altered book I made using the Journey to Oz line by Graphic 45. It was so much fun, all the ladies really enjoyed it, and finished it for the most part. Ok let's get started there are lots of little details.

For the cover, I wanted it to look like the bad witch was looking at Dorothy and Friends through her crystal ball, so I added diamond glaze over the image.

Here I wanted some pics of the Movie, but I didn't want to lose photo space in the book.

So I made it to where they pics flip up and you add two more photos.

I had sent my friend/employee on a search for a Wizard of Oz book, here I added part of it.

Now you see the box above that has Dorothy on it? Below the Magic of Oz?

Me and my canvas pages, I'm sure my mom hates when I decide to add this to my book because for what ever reason her machine will just decide not to cooperate.

Hi and happy Sunday,
Well I thought I would share this album that I made last month. I truly love the way it turned out, and sold out of all of the kits I had using this, even so there are people on a waiting list for more kits, and or if I decide to do this class again.
The line of paper is by Simple Stories, a company of which I have fallen in love with. They just hit the mark every time!! The name of the line is called Generations...

As usual I did a mix of acrylic and chipboard.

Above you can see a clothespin that I added and embellished with some papers and sticker, and I clipped some of the extra cards I had from the kit for some journaling.

This part folds out to add more journaling or small photos, see the hand that points to the left?

For those of you bought this kit, I hope this helps.

I know I have a bit MIA, but as most of you know we relocated our scrapbook store. So that has taken up so much time. I have still been working on some stuff. Not too many cards. But I made a few for Halloween.

My focus of my last card making class was different type of fold cards. This style I made two strips and round the ends and attached my front panel to it. The stamp I used is Buccaneer Marci by LaLa Land Crafts, the papers are Fancy Pants and colored with copics.

This card I'm not sure the name of it, some kind of funky fold card. But try explaining how to do this in a class. One of my regulars requested I made this, and I think everyone wanted to kill her once we started to scor and the card, but the end results were well worth it. The dp paper is by WeR Memory Keepers. And another Lala Land Crafts stamp Witch Marci.

This card everyone fell in love with is the springy card. I will post sometime this week with a quick tutorial, it is super easy. The papers I used are Bazzill and Fancy Pants. I also used Viva Decor paper pen. Again Lala Land is the stamp I used Buccaneer Luka.

Hello again,
So of course I know how to spell but I had this aunt who was from Germany and when she would wish us happy birthday that's how she would say it. Don't know why that came to my mind. But my mind works in strange ways.

Looks like your average card huh, no biggie. But wait there's more....

So it was my employee Diana's Birthday, and she joined us for our monthly Crop-a-Holics night at the store. So I decided to make her this cake card. I did most of it the night before, but since we are moving to a new location I had taken my copics over to the new store. I didn't have a card class scheduled till late September and didn't think I would be needing them. Try coloring and finishing up a card when the person you are making for is the same room. She loved the card, yea!! So did the other gals who were there. Oh of course the stamp is Magnolia and the papers are MME Lime Twist, Life of the Party. Okay peeps Im outta here.

Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was good, I had my card class, which my sister who came to visit from Utah decided to join us when she seen the cards. She's had Copics awhile and didn't really play around with them. Also my nephew Mason had his 6th birthday party yesterday. Boy do I feel robbed!! Why when I was a kid didn't they have those jumpers that have a water slide with a pool at the bottom? As tempted as I was, I didn't join them. Okay enough jibber jabber, here's the card...

Hello All....

     Today I am sharing the card I made. I had a customer tell me "well I love your cards but the cards with the kids on them are too young, I don't have grandkids, so who can I give them to?" I am one of those who thinks there is a kid in everybody, but hey I can make a card for a "serious" grown up.
   This was my attempt, I used Bo Bunny's Gabrielle papers, and the stamp set is by MFT's First Place Ribbon Die and Stamp Set. She was so happy with card she bought the stamp set too!!
     Stay tuned for another project using this set. Sunday is my baby's birthday. He is going to a whopping 16 years old. I am so glad he turned out so great. He want's to see the new Harry Potter movie. I am working on new cards for my next class. See you soon.

Today is the greatest, yet craziest person's birthday, my mom. Ask anyone, we all think she is crazy, but in a good way (mostly). Don't think just because it is her birthday she gets to have the day off. No way!! Tonight we have the kids class at the shop, and the kids love Ms. Teresa. Happy birthday MOM, hope you enjoy your day, and get the BIG birthday wish come true.

When I first stamped Ms. Marci I thought she needed a lil something. So I grabbed my Copic Multi Liner, and drew sand. Yip that did it. Just what it needed. The fabulous paper I used is Beach Babe by Fancy Pants. Hope you enjoy your weekend ahead... HAPPY 4th of July!!

100 Days of Summer...

Hello Again,
Well as promised here are the pics of the Summer Album I made. This class was a hit....

Above I am still trying to decide what wording I want to put on the cover, I wanted to use more corrugated letters, but didn't want to be redundant. Below the corrugated letters, which I painted the edges with yellow acrylic paint.

Below a closeup (kinda) of the tabbed page which is made of acrylic. You can lift up the bingo card, and put a pic below it.

The back of the acrylic page, and the following page.

Below the Popsicle stick is actually a rub on applicator that I colored with red ink, to imply it was an ice cream stick.

Well hope you enjoyed the album. There is more to come soon, I am primarily working on these, not as many cards as I use to, so as you can imagine, it takes longer for these types of projects. The paper is by Memory Works "100 Days of Summer". And I still have lots of papers and stickers from the collection kit. Everyone who attended the class got the entire kit, and my custom album w/ clear pages.

I am truly enjoying summer. Yesterday I took the beach cruiser out for a spin. Such nice weather. Well you will be happy to know I made a few cards over the weekend.

Today I am sharing this super adorable LaLaLand Crafts stamp. She is called Marci with Flowerpot. The paper I used is by Carolees and the brown dots are VIVA decor Paper Pens in Walnut. I love these, great for those last minute touches. Of course I colored the image with copics.
Tomorrow I will be sharing a summer book I taught in a class. I promised the ladies I would post in on my blog. Some of them didn't want to glue stuff down till they put their pictures in it.

Hello again my dear friends.... thanks for sticking around. So since my nephew's birthday card I haven't stamped. And when I got this stamp from MFT I figured this would be perfect because I wouldn't have to color, easy peasy!!

I mean really.... I don't know what I love more!! The papers from Cosmo Cricket "Odds and Ends" or the fabulous stamp with die by My Favorite Things. I made this card for one of my coworkers who will be 70 something. She is one hot grandma, who doesn't like to be called old. She calls me her daughter, so I have to make her a card right.

Scrap Workshop

Hope you had a great weekend.. I wanted to share with you what I did Sunday. We had a workshop that was put on by three manufactures PRIMA, TATTERED ANGELS, and PINK PAISLEE. We did a project for all 3 but I have to say my most favorite is the Tattered.

I think it's just because it wasn't your typical scrapbooking. The background is a wood shadow box. And yes we sprayed the background with what else Tattered Angels mist, first we used the Glitter Glam, and that acted as a resist so when we sprayed the Glimmer mist over it only the parts without the glam turned blue (neat). And the term of the day is "Commit to the Mist", in other words, if you're gonna mist don't do baby spritz', you have to push your finger all the way down on the sprayer.
And now on to some NSR (not scrapbook related) stuff, the workshop was held at the Mission Inn Hotel &; Spa in Riverside, CA. And wow, I kept wishing that we didn't have to be inside scrapping, here's why...

Okay, so lets talk about the statue room. This is a pic of the upper part of the walls. The room was awesome, had those huge round metal chandeliers, and a bunch of doors. And the tables were round and fit like 8 of us for lunch, and one of the doors were right behind a friend Kelly from Scrapbook Land. The door kept opening, so we thought it was a ghost. Kinda spooky, but funny, Kelly's eyes would open big every time. Well I better get back to work. Later friends.

So here is what I was working on the last week. Actually that is lie, it only took me a total of 4 hours from start to finish for this book. It was so simple, yet adorable.

Here is a closeup for of the flower, it's a big one.

I am going to put a post on how to make this simple book. So check back for that. Just wanted to post and say hi. Oh the paper I used is Fancy Pants "Lilac House". I used the Large 3-D flower die by Sizzix.

I mean isn't she just the cutest? I have had her for a while, and tried to buy some for others to enjoy, but they didn't make her any more. Wonder if she would be available in digi?? If you like her too she might be worth seeing if that's possible. So I had made the base of the card first, and decided I needed a girly girl image, with frill. The paper is from my Webster's Page, Ladies & Gents, and trendsetters. I am trying to use up this paper pad, so you may get bored of it really quick. I have to get back to my chores. I am constantly on there seeing what new digi's I can get my hands on. I stumble across VN Digital. I went on today and didn't see this exact image. Maybe she just forgot to re list it, if you like it so much send her a message and see if it is still for sale.

I thought this image would be perfect for my Websters Pages Ladies & Gents, and Trendsetters petite papers. Hope the pic is okay, I took it with my Blackberry. I know I really should stop but I never have my camera handy. Any how I paper pieced her dress, and colored the image with copics of course.

Sure wish there were more days in a weekend. Sometimes I envy peeps who have furloughs on a Friday, just for the sake of the well needed 3 day weekend of course. Anyway, I don't know about you, but I am ready for Easter Dinner. Get to see my cousin and her 1 yr old son (whom we haven't met) on Sunday. She lives in Texas and is coming for my grandpas birthday which we are celebrating on Easter Sunday.

It's all the Little Things by Fancy Pants, is the name of the paper, and it can really go many directions as for colors. I know I have been missing in action. So the down low is that I haven't been sleeping well. I feel like I am completely in a fog in my regular though process and trying to be creative is a whole other ball game. Not to mention a customer of mine accidentally borrowed my card from my Easter card class. She kindly brought them back. And here I am sharing one of the cards.

I purchase this Digi Image from one of my favorite illustrators Heather Ellis. Colored with copic markers, and dsp is WeRMemory Keepers, I also used sparkly fluff for the shoes, and furry tail.

Hello again, and happy Friday. Wow the week just flew by, and I wanted to make sure another didn't go by that I didn't create something. But for some reason the card size just wasn't working for me. I started out with a standard A2, then thought well 4.5x6.5 would work. Nope so I brought out the big guns and made my card 5.25x5.25, and tada....

Ok so I have this paper, and thought the designs were kinda redundant. So I didn't want to create with it. But when I started putting it together I fell in love. By the end I didn't have any paper left because I kept changing the size of the card. The paper is Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934. As for the stamp she is by LaLaLand Crafts, and I mean just the size of the stamp alone, means you should make a bigger card. I love it. Hope you have a great day.

Hello again, and welcome back. Can you believe it is already March? Seeing that today is the first I thought I would start if off the The Greeting Farm stamp. The first of every month they have their new releases. Here is the Cheeky Beach. Isn't she just adorable, I really love their stamps, they are truly deep etched, and make the best impression. On this I decided to add some white gel ink on some of the stamped & colored image. The pic was taken with my phone, so you can't see the glaze that I put on her eyes. But I think it made em pop. Ok I am off to watch the Bachelor online, I missed it on Monday.

Hello again, and happy Friday. I was a day behind all week because of the short work week. Here is a banner I made using the Once Upon a Springtime from Graphic 45. The banner is from Clear Scraps (I will be at the Scrapbook Expo working with them on Saturday & Sunday). The banner is acrylic so the pattern papers are set behind the banners and the mats with the letters are on top. I really love the way all the colors just flow together. My son chose the brown letters, I was tempted to use a blue green glitter paper instead but it turned out great. Here are some close ups....

I did cut some chipboard to add some dimension the letters.

The embellishments on the project are patterned paper that I cut.

Anyway, hello my fellow friends, I have been on hiatus. I haven't been up to being crafty, but when I got this stamp, it was on and popping!! I love this stamp it is by InStyle Stamps. We found this company at CHA, in the new section. This is a local company, and you know I love supporting the locals. I know exactly who I am giving this card to. And I know I say, I don't give my cards, cause people don't appreciate the work that goes into them, but this person will. Hope you enjoy your holiday Monday, I am buried in laundry, and gotta get going.

I know it has been a while and I am going to keep this short. I just wanted to post a gift a customer gave me. She brought some earrings for me to choose one that I liked and I wasn't there so my mom chose one for me. I wore these to work on Valentine's Day with a red sweater. I like these, at first I thought they would be heavy, but they were pretty light.

Hope this hairy pic is ok, I was trying to hold my hair back. I love the rhinestone in the center of the word love. The gal who made this is Cecilia (dont know her last name) but she buys stamps from us, and was showing what she uses them for. So thanks Cecilia, everyone at worked loved them. I gotta get your info and give it to them.

Yeah feeling better, not quite 100% but I'll take it. Here I am sharing some pics of the CHA 2011 show:

Here above we have the new line by My Little Yellow Bicycle, called Twig, this paper is so pretty, some of the embellishments feel like fabric. This line will be shipping towards the end of February.

Here at the Ranger booth, I found out that Wendy Vecchi came out with own product line, which I have mentined before that I love her. She just has a different style Tim Holtz, but similar.

Can you tell how streamlined her stuff is, and a bit more girly I might add. These are pre-cut wood pieces, that can be painted or altered.

I was impressed with Heartfelt Creations, which by the way, glad to say we are going to start carrying their great stamps, with coordinating Spellbinders dies...

Above is another line of stamps that I couldn't live without called La La Land Stamps. These stamps are great in size. We look forward to the trunk show they will be bringing with them from San Jose.

I caught a cold which started around Sunday afternoon at CHA. Don't worry that didn't stop me from going everyday, until the last minute. But I had to back to work today, just to get sent home sick. To be honest, I didn't mind so much, I felt like crap. So I went home took a nap, and woke up bored. I made this card a while ago, and noticed I didn't post it yet. I know I haven't been around, just haven't felt much like being creative. I dunno, gotta get my mojo back. Oh the last card I posted was for my friend Donna who passed away. I wrote a note and placed it in her casket at her funeral. She would have loved it.
Today I am sharing a card I made Friday evening. I wanted to make a card with a boy, but Valentines. So I found this super cute image here. I decided to make this one an easel style to change up my routine in my class (which was a hit on Saturday).

Sorry it's been a while since I posted, I have been getting my kits for Valentine Album class ready. I had some time before my class gets here, so I thought I would post this card I made last night.
This card has special meaning.... I was holding this stamp for a friend who really wanted it but I got bad news Thursday, that she had passed away unexpectedly. I was really sad because this person was such a sweetie, and grabbed my heart. I often call customers an extension of my family. We spend so much time together and when I see alot of them I get hugs and she was definately one of them. So instead of putting this up so someone can buy it, I kept it and made this card. Every time she really liked something her eyes would light up and she would hold it to her chest as if she was hugging it. Grin... Donna you will be missed by many.

Hello and Happy Monday....
Last night I was feeling crafty. I have had this paper by My Minds Eye "Lost & Found" and thought it reminded me of Valentines day. I have had this digi stamp for over a year now. And I just love it so much. Heather Ellis is the illustrator you can find her shop here, along with many other of her beautiful digi's.
I paper pieced the black (not a good idea to print on black paper, hard to see) I also added red glitter to the heart to bring in the glitter paper in the background. I used copics to color my image. Okay well I am off, hope to have more posting to share with you this week.

Hi Again, hope you had a great weekend. Mine was ok, I had to work a bit. But I got a bit done. No stamping though, I have been making some card kits for customers. I did manage to finish my class for the coming Saturday. I thought I would show some of those pics...

The cover of the book is 9x9, and I used Teresa Collins Bracket covers. The inner pages themselves are 8x8 and I made some of my own pages out of paper and a bingo card.

Here is where I took a paper and made a flap page from one of the pretty ds papers.

I love the small use of the crochet ribbon behind a strip of paper. Just pop dotted some of the embellishments that I cut out.

Ok well I hope this inspires some of you. I know my preference is cards, but this was a nice change of pace. I am trying to get something other than cards done at least once a month. There was so much to show on this book, so I just gave a little sampling. Oh have to wish my dad a Happy Birthday, he doesn't read this, just want everyone else to know, I love him. Hi, and Happy New Year! 2010 came and went so quickly. I only hope for good things in the coming year. Yesterday was such a lazy day with the rain and all. I put this card together, and love it. Today we have the new All That Scraps stamp Violet with Key. She is my favorite, love the handkerchief she has with little heart pattens. I stamped the handkerchief on pattern paper and paper pieced it. The dsp is We R Memory Keepers, Be my Valentine line. I love the use of the turquoise and yellow with valentines. Another thing that is great about this paper is when turn around the paper there are quads of the patterns on the back, but smaller, perfect for card making.

Whoo hoo!! I don't have to work today. I get to create more goodies for your viewing pleasure. As you should know by my posts I am fan of Heather Ellis. She illistrates for MFT, and although I love them, they don't have this in a stamp. I am not of big fan of waiting around to see if maybe they are going to eventually make it. So here we have Pure Innocence writing a letter. Isn't this adorable? When I seen this I knew exactly what paper line I wanted to use Websters Pages Lullaby Lane, the crochet lace is May Arts, and paper flowers. Hiii! Yesterday I had a hard time sending pics from my cell to my email. Needless to say here it is. I really really like this stamp, for so many reasons, it is so versatile. The last time I used this I had a basket of flowers in the back of the bike. Another reason I like this is... there is so little to color. Its really about the colors brought in from the pretty papers. I really love this line of paper, especially when used with kraft cardstock, ahh. Paper is Fancy Pants Lilac House, ribbon May Arts, copic markers.

I know I have been on hiatus, I gave myself the week off of crafting. I still went to work, but after I had lots to do at home. I had some much needed R&R, but trying to back into the swing of things. I have been working on a project but it isn't cards. I am making a Valentine album for an upcoming class. Anyhow, today I am sharing this sweet card I made for a birthday boy. I found the image on my favorite site to shop digi stamps Etsy. This dinosaur boy is so perfect for this paper, or vice verse. I came across Claire Keay, she normally makes these into wall prints, then started selling the digi images.

It has been so rainy here. Weird Monday was 80 degrees and Weds we had rain and it hasn't stopped. Here is one of the cards that I made for my friend that ordered a couple of Christmas cards from me. I had the card I wanted to make in mind, but had a Christmas tree one instead of the angel. Something about it just didn't do it for me. Ya know? The tree wasn't really colored, it was more of a silouette. So then I came across this angel and she fit the bill. I always thought Whimsy Stamps were actual stamps, not digis. I was so happy when I got an almost instant message that said my order was ready to download. The paper is an older line by Imaginisce Snowy Jo. FYI my customer loved the card. Thats it for me. Hi!! Has everyone been busy like me? I made this card quickly between the hustle and bustle of helping others finsih their Christmas lists. My list is growing and growing. I am helping a dear friend with a couple of Christmas cards for some special people in her life. So I likely can't post until the weekend. Friday I will hopefully be able to get some of my own creations done. I recently ordered some Viva paper pens, and used them for the first time on this card. Oooohh, how I love these. When I first place my drop of walnut brown it looked like a hersey's kiss, but then it formed a perfectly round mound of sort. Like a flat backed pearl. Then while the mounds were drying I added some microfine transparent glitter and here is the effect.

Cool huh. Ok so here are the deets on the card. The stamp is Special Autumn from Greeting Farm. Don't you love her UGG style boots, that match her puffy vest? The fab dsp is Fancy Pants "Lilac House", MS punch.

I intended to post this yesterday, but me and my son went to Knotts Berry Farm. I couldn't believe how packed it was considering its Christmas time, I thought Walmart would have had more people. The weather was great so agreed to go on Big Foot Rapids, his choice, and I got soaked. We only got on 4 rides, since the lines were so long, and didn't plan on making a full of it. But that's ok, it was about quality time together.
I had wanted to this stamp from MFT but they were out of stock, so I knew the illustrator has some of her digi images here. I was happy to see that she had this image on the site for purchase. The dsp I used is American Crafts. Hope you have a great weekend.

Got 8 minutes? That is how long this will take to make. I had someone ask how to do these. So I was verbally telling her and I'm not sure she quite got the idea. So I figured it's so simple I will post a quick tutuorial. Except the typing up the tut took longer than it did to make the box.

The tools I used, scor tool, scissors, 1 1/4 in circle punch, and my scor tape.

The size of this box is 3 x 5 inches, and is 2 in deep. So my paper size is 7 x 9 in.Now scor 2 in, turn the paper scor 2 in again, until you get all 4 sides of the paper done. Now I am right handed so I cut my scor line on the right side and do so on each of the 4 sides.

Hope this pic helped a bit, now fold all scor lines and on the small square flaps place your adhesive on the tabs. Before you place your flap on the last small flap, cut half a circle punch.

Now I took a piece of 11 x 5 in coordinating cardstock to use as my wrap, and I scored 3 in, 5 in, 8 in, and 10, leaving me 1 in. Crease your scor lines, then add adhesive to the 1 in flap, adhere to where the other side of the wrap begins.

Find some scrap papers I know you have laying around. Measure for the cover of the wrap and the sides, find another small piece for the front of the box. Fill with choice of goodies.

I LOVE this Celebrate paper by Fancy Pants. So much so I had to make a background out of my favorite piece. I wanted to use it as my background for the card, but instead decided to make 3 identical cards just changing the background paper on each. The stamp is an older All That Scraps Ginger Snaps Celebrate Set. I have been trying to use some of my older stamps. I like the newest stuff too, but have a huge investment sitting around getting bigger. I would love to take some creative stuff to work but know I wouldn't get much done. Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I am ready, luckily I just get to go to my moms and eat!! Perhaps I will make cheesy potatoes. Can't wait, one to sleep in, two for left overs. YEAH!
Anywho, today I am sharing this super easy card/gift. This cocoa packet is soo quick. I get 3 of these out of one 12x12 cardstock. The piece of brown measures 4x10 in, scor length wise at 4 3/4 then turn it and repeat scor at 4 3/4. The circle scallop punch is 3 in. Hope you liked it, easy gift for co-workers wouldn't cha say?

I am so feeling the holiday spirit, I know I have to get through Thanksgiving. That's a great holiday too. I am so proud of myself. I made this card and I didn't use any pattern papers. I used the mistletoe's to accent the card, I already was wondering if I over did it, nah. So as you likely guessed the stamps are by All That Scraps, Christmas Angel and Sugarplums Mistletoe. I am keeping the post short, hope I get some more creative time in. Happy Monday. Okay so I don't know about you, but this stamp by Greeting Farm makes me think of that song. We barely got these in the other day, and OMG!! I had to ink it up right away. The coloring was a cinch since I knew the white was going to be sparkly that didn't need to be colored. I used my fav stickles STAR DUST. There is another new release that I wanted to get done, but that will have to wait another day. I had shown this to my son and said doesn't she remind you of a pin up girl. He said I don't even know what a pin up girl is. LOL ahh job well done. Any way, I know this stamp is going to be a favorite. Back to the card I used Pinecone Press dsp, and May Arts ribbon. This is my final Halloween post, I have been so busy with work. We are under the gun to give the state some reports of our productivity. And if they look bad the state can close our department. By the time I get home from work my eyes are so tired from starring at a computer all day. I just can't get the energy to create. So I thought I would share a fun and easy make and take we had done. Mostly because we had a lot of other projects going, a baptism order that is due Monday. I haven't even made any cards, I had some embossed Winter/Christmas cards, but they sold before I had a chance to take pics and post them (my bad). But today was productive, I started working on this project for an upcoming class, using the Olivia line by Bo Bunny. I love it, it is turning out great. I will post a pic in a couple of days when a get more details in the book. I have been doing more altered projects, which I am more a card person, but hey, there's room to grow. Wow I have been so busy. I know that isn't anything new. Here is the final card that I made using Digis. This one is from Pink Cat Studio. She is so cute, I colored her using Prisma Pencils and OMS. So I had someone ask me which pencils they should buy when buying Prisma. I said it makes a difference, make sure you buy the one that says smooth rich color. Some want to know which set they should buy, I have the 120 set but not even 50% of them are sharpened. Im a girl who has faves and they are my go to colors. But I did some comparisons on the site, and felt that the 72 didn't have the spring like colors I wanted. Oh and as for the OMS (odorless mineral spirits) they sell them at my LSS, Custom Impressins Scrapbooking, if you are local.

Alright so I am bit lazy, I didn't even take the card out of the clear bag before I snapped this photo. I love the digi stamp store, from Pink Cat Studio. I mean isn't this Frankenstein Billy cute, I don't know which is cuter, him or his mummy puppy. I'm gonna try that on my dog, hehe. I used OMS, and Prisma pencils and used my new favorite paper by American Crafts, you can't see it in the photo but the dots, are embossed, how fun.
Ok so let me get back to me being to lazy. I was in the mood for enchiladas the other day, but was starvin, and didn't feel like waiting an hour to cook the meal, I mean, it's a lotta work. So I cooked up hamburger meat in like 10-15 minutes, added green enchilads sauce once it was cooked, then topped that on some tortillas strips, added cheese, olives, and sour cream. BAM, cured that craving. My son loves this, ahh he's easy, thank goodness.

I thought I would share a digi stamped card that I made. I haven't been a big fan of digi's until recently. I had decided to have my monthly stamping class with out using rubber stamps. Of course I didn't want to let any of my customers know that I was doing digital stamps cause I didn't want to scare anyone off (trust me, it would have). I brought out my laptop during class, and showed them user friendly programs that I used, and the benefits of having digital or rubber stamps. I like getting my fingers inky so of course that is my preference, but the ladies loved it. I got this super cute digi stamp from All That Scraps, and the fab paper is American Crafts, and I colored with OMS, and Prisma pencils.

I am not one to toot my own horn, I rarely think something I have made is great. I am the most critical of myself, who isn't? But I have to admit I love this album. This was confirmed when all of my spots in the class were gone and I also have 4 kits for this book to make once more supplies come in to finish them. I am only showing some of the pages of this book. There is a total of 12 pages, front and back.
Here is the cover, not sure if you can tell but it is made of acrylic, and I cut out the keyhole with an exacto knife so you can peep through to the next page, but wait... do you notice the drink me bottle? This will be in stock soon.

This page I added a doily which I added Mist to incorporate to my theme. Simple yet elegant.....

This next page was so much fun, we adorned a pin with beads and added a locket, with some paper flowers.

Hello, I have really missed blogging. I have "fallen" so far behind. I have been pretty busy as you will soon see. So here is a fall banner that I made using Imaginisce Apple Cider paper. Each of these panels measure 4 in wide and 6 in tall. I backed each panel with a chipboard so it is more sturdy. This was already hung on the board, so it was just too much work for me to take it down and get it picture ready I just snapped the pic.

Ok so it is still officially summer, but it sure feels like fall here in L.A. We kinda got ripped off for our summer. It has been pretty gloomy for most of the summer. Now that I got that off my chest!! Let me tell you, I make mistakes, I stated to ink the edges of white matte after I stamped and colored her. But to be honest I didn't like the out come. And I needed to just finish the card (my moms voice in my head when I say that). So I cut out the part I didn't like, and finished the card. It's funny when I have a class, and everyone loves the card, and I'm like yeah well I don't (in my head). I colored with copics, papers are Imaginisce; Apple Cider, and Sparkly Fluff (OCL), sentiment made from MS Word.

I admit my blog posts have been lacking, but so has been my creativity lately. Here I am sharing a card I made for my card class. Now I did not distress the edges with black ink. When I had my card class a customer dropped her ink pad on the card. AHH, I know, but I kept my composure. I think the paper I used is by My Minds Eye, but I forget the line. I had some request to mention the size of the cards I made. Most of the time I use a standard A2 (5.5x4.25).

So you see how I cut 2 circles from the polka dot card stock they aren't full circles just 3/4 punched of a 1 inch circle punch. I love doing this to my cards or altered art projects. This is my favorite day of the week, excluding all the household stuff I have to do. I just feel like Sunday's have more hours than all the other days of the week. I made this card and wasn't sure if I wanted to share it because didn't care for the coloring job I did. I used Sweet Kiki, by All That Scraps, Prisma Color Pencils w/ OMS, oh and Echo Park DP (Walk in the Park). I was also experimenting with MFT Die-Namics Open Scallop Die. Back From Vacation...

I am back from Lauglin. We had so much fun, but it's good to be back in the craft again. I seriously need some stress relief. You would think that coming back from vacation, I should be relaxed. When I am gone all I think of is all the stuff I have to do when I get back, and should have taken a week off from work to get caught up on that kinda stuff instead of sitting at the lake. I know I'm weird right. Right before I left, I had a sample due for a Baptism. I literally had to through this together in 45 before I had to go home and pack. The customer wanted me to incorporate this Angel Anya stamp in her invite, and an easel style. This is what I came up with. Hope you enjoy it.

The other day I mentioned some boxes that I had been working. Here is one that I made that fits A2 sized cards, and envelopes. The main box is made of one card stock, and the flap is another. I made the divider using a Z fold. I took different sizes of a tag from my cricut cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes. Thats how I got the fancy shape of the flap, front, divider, and panels. The paper used is Echo Park, A Walk in the Park line. I used some adhesive backed velcro rounds to keep the box closed. Well hope you enjoyed this. Bye.

I made the front of the card just a bit shorted the back so you can kinda get a sneek peek of what is inside. It has been a while since I have used my pencils, and although it is more work than with Copics, I got a totally different out come. I had so much fun making this card, but not so much fun making kits for it. I don't realize how many layers I put on a card until I have to mass produce 12 kits. Do I want to make Tinkerbell invites. Ok that isn't true, because I can't say no! If you are wondering where I have been, this is the reason. I have been swamped with custom orders. Here is the thing, someone will say can you make some samples of Tinkerbell invites. I make a variety of styles for them to choose from. They all come out so darn cute, it is hard for them to choose. So out of the 4 different styles I made, she chose three of them. If a man was choosing he would of chose the least expensive design, luckily mom chose.

So I am still around. Just haven't been creating much. My son's birthday was on the 17th, then my favorite nephews birthday was on the 20th. We went to Raging Waters in San Dimas for my nephew and my sons birthdays. Everyone had such a blast. I have had people staying over every night since the 17th. I told my son, enough, I want my living room back. I did make some boxes though, when I get a chance to snap some photos I will post them. I have a card class next weekend, so I will upload those pics soon too. Then I will post pics of the boys' day at the water park. Just wanted to stop and say a quick "Hi".

Embossing Card of course!! You know I am recently addicted to stamping so that isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I made this card for my recent embossing card class. This embossing stencil is also by Lasting Impressions of course I can't remember the name of the stencil now, but if you email me I will gladly give it to you. The LSS near to me has sold out of due to demand, since I made this card, but they are expecting a new shipment with it soon.
So I have this long time customer at my LSS, who I had some stamps waiting on hold for her till her next payday. But I had someone else who really wanted them, and thought ok, I will sell them to this other person, and then have then have them replaced by the time so and so gets paid. Well, I never had the time to reorder her stamps. So whenever she come she says "hey where is my stamps" and I give her this deer in headlights look. And she just starts laughing at me, and says no rush. So she was telling me about how she had lost her Life's a Beach Cricut Cartridge (her favorite cartridge btw) and I when I was making this card I said oh hey would you mind making me some 4in. seaweed from the Lifes a Beach Cartridge, and she just gave me this look OMG if looks could kill. Laughing, she said, thats what I get for giving you such a hard time about my stamps. LOL.

And thank you for viewing my blog. Today I am sharing this little cutie called Pure Innocence. She is so cute just eating her lolli. I thought perfect, I've seen these same suckers in the local mall at the sugar store. So I made this lolli wrap perfect in size. I made this little set for someone I work with, who is about to leave. Although we don't work together directly, I thought of this person when I got my stamp set. The DS paper is Echo Park Walk in the Park line, I love the bright colors. So I really have come to love this stamp. Especially when I am using the Jack n Jill by MME. It just has the perfect red for this stamp. Here you see again Ladybug Nora, from ATS. She is just so cute with the little bug on her hand. I used white Dew Drops to adorn my corners of the card. The ribbon is May Arts.

I have been just really wanting to put everything I have into stamps but other things take priority. Work, chores, blah, blah, blah. So today I am sharing with another one of my embossing cards. I really like this card because although it is simple, it is fabulous. I used the Walk in the Park line by Echo Park. This again just to show you that you don't only need to use Lasting Impressions paper to sell a products. I don't quite remember the template, but it is really pretty. Before Stamps

I just wanted to share what I am currently working. Before I was addicted to stamps, I was into Brass Stencils, particularly Lasting Impressions. The only thing was I had a ton of scrapbook paper. I didn't want to be bound to Lasting Impressions papers, especially when I would give a class a scrapbook store. The goal was to sell whatever I could, as well as the brass stencils. The owners would love this, it kinda sets me apart from other LI designers ;).
Anyway, here is a card a made for an upcoming brass stencils class I'm giving. It had been a while since I have done these since discovering stamping.

Stamp Storage

Hi Again,

Here is the storage I have been working on. I found this expandable storage box at my local Staples. I can easily put sheets of 8.5 x 11 laminated sheets in here.

I had some black vinyl and cut flourishes from my cricut. I got some DS paper from MME (Lush), and backed it with cream card stock just to ensure strength for all those stamps, then laminated it. I took another piece of cream cardstock and stamped the images I have on each laminated sheet. So when I place them in their divided sleeve I know what is on it. (You could stamp the images on the sheet then laminate it but to me that was too permanent) Hope the pic is okay I took with my Blackberry.

And here is a top view of the expandable folders open, just so you can get an idea, of how it looks:

I hope this was useful. I really like this, I mean they have have storage folders in a smaller size, but for my addiction, why bother. LOL

I have showed this to so many people and they go crazy, they love it so much. I hope you like it too.

I can't believe it has been 2 weeks since my last post. Geesh, I am tuckered out. I have been working on storage for my stamps, which I will share in my next post. Today I am sharing a set from My Favorite Things called Who's that Girl. I was so tempted to spray it with my favorite perfume. I colored some of the image with copics and paper pieced the bottom shelf and her dress. I love the interchangeable items to put on the shelf, there is cakes, and boxes too. I did this card in a class and the ladies choose the type of shop they wanted to make. Okay I gotta ready for bed.

I have finally got to use my MFT Stamps. I love them, I know I say this a lot. Now that I have used one set, I just want to focus all my time on using all of them. I think I was afraid to use them because there is so much background. I think next time I will find a perfect paper and paper piece the background. I paper pieced the dress and jacket. This is an older set, but still one of my favs (Hangin w/ my Peeps). I tried to crop my image but my PC was not cooperating. Oh the paper is from an old Sassafrass kit I had lying around. I forget the name of it right now. Ok I'm at work, better get something done here.

You know why? I only have to work 3 days. Yip that's right, I am off on Thursday and Friday. I am pretty much already on vacation (mentally). Ok so I have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE, the Honey stamps that All That Scraps released. Just so darn cute. She is so fun to color, I love her hair, with her really big head, just adorable. This stamp is Summer Honey. I used my Copic multi liner to draw the water then colored it in. I used inksentials white gel pen to make the polka dots on her swim cap. The DP is Imaginisce. Ok gots to go!!

As usual I am procrastinating my housework. I have lots to do, but blogging takes priority. I love Izzy by The Greeting Farm, she is one of my favs. My favorite color is purple so I thought using 2 shades of purple on her, but like 4 copic colors, would be better. If you look at the hat it kinda reminds me of a Micheal Jackson inspired hat. I used a clear spica for the belt and hat brim. I used the new Bo Bunny Peacock Lane. This paper makes me happy. I used Stardust Stickles for the glitter around the panels.

Although here in L.A. it doesn't seem like summertime. I know it's been a while since my last post. It's not that I haven't been creative because I have, just haven't got in front of the laptop to post. Or I was just too tired to fight over it, between me, my son, my nephew, and my mom, forget it. Once I get the pics uploaded I can post from work, on my downtime of course. So on to the project. I have had this lovely stamp since it was released in Spring. Her name is Ladybug Nora, by All that Scraps. I have been loving using tons of layers. And I didn't put all of her on the card just her upper half. The paper is by MME Jack & Jill line. Geeesh, that went by fast, I better make the best of today. I can do house work and laundry tomorrow. (Thank goodness for the 3day weekend). Today I am going to get inky. I have been selling a lot of cards lately. I can't make them fast enough. That is why my posts have been few. Trying to use my free time to make du;icate cards of the ones I have posted. I just received my order of Magnolia Stamps and would love to make some cards using those. Soon I hope. But for now here is HONEY. She is so purdy!! Love her big head. I have made her with so many different hair colors, but blonde is my fav. I haven't made a card using the blonde one but when I do I will post it, don't worry. I just have to make sure I take the pic before I sell it.

Today was such a pretty day here in Los Angeles, nice and warm. Although I had to work I didn't get to enjoy it very much. Anywho, I'm sharing this card I made using this Treasured Friends set by Our Craft Lounge. I had such a struggle trying to figure out what to do with this stamp. Happy Friday. Today was a great day, I got lots of stamping done. I was surrounded by friends and family, and it's 3 day weekend, WHOOT WHOOT!! I just wanted to share this card that I made using Hanging Loose with Kona by Our Craft Lounge. This card is so simple. I stamped him vellum and then colored him using copic markers. Thanks for stopping by today. I have been itching to use a sample pack of the new release from Bo Bunny. Today I'm sharing the line Petal Pushers. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the bright colors. Super fun colors with BLACK as an accent. The hardest part of this card was choosing which paper I was going to use because they were all so yummy. Of course the paper doesn't have glitter already on it so I add to bling it up a bit, hehe. I used the Butterfly Nora stamp from All that Scraps, isn't she sweet? Okay that's it for today. Hope to post again before this weekend it up.

Hello everyone, happy Wednesday. I am trying my best to update my blog more regularly. I am officially addicted to these little Creating Keepsakes stacks. The colors are so great, although the cardstock in the kit doesn't match as much as I would like, I just turn to my massive stock of bazzill, baby. I will be moving on to some new papers, promise. Anywho, the card I am sharing today is made using two of the All that Scraps spring stamps. I masked Hansel, then stamped the fence. I used copics to color my image. Sorry the second picture isn't very clear, but I wanted you to see how the image overlapped to inside of the card. Ok I better go, have a great day, and happy stamping.

Here is another quick post. Today I am sharing this lovely little cutie pie Izzy, by The Greeting Farm. The paper I used is by Creating Keepsakes (the kit stack I was refering to in yesterday's post). I love the leafy paper, combined with kraft cardstock. It makes me want to go recycle or do something GREEN. I used clear spica for the brim on the hat and her dress. Not sure if you can notice it though, I needed to have sparkles on my card. The pearls are Kaiser Craft. Ok got to go do housework, UGG.
